Day 11 - Crazy Start #11 - Feeling Festive

Goodness me, anyone would think it's Christmas time again....

Yet another Christmas inspired start yesterday.  This one is the second design from the Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings XV chart pack.

I just love these designs and I thought the little reindeer "Feeling Festive" would go very nicely with the 2 more blingy Nora Corbett reindeer's that I have already added to my crazy start list....

I didn't get very much done on this little cutie yesterday as I spent a couple of hours stitching on Winter Witch.  I am determined that she will be finished next weekend.....

Today is day 12 of the 15 Crazy Starts challenge from the CrosstitchCrazy Event.  So far I have managed to start a new design every day, posting on the FB page has been a bit hit and miss though.  I will have to rectify that sooner rather than later!!  After the 15th Jan, I will start picking up some of my long neglected WIP's and then continue with the craziness of January with the Debbie's Ultimate Crazy January Challenge 2015 (DUCJC2015).  This has been so much fun and doing these two challenges has made me get back into stitching every day again... and even posting on my blog almost every day as well.... so 2015 is looking good so far!

Tonight's new start is a mystery to me.... I am not sure whether to start another one of the Tiny Tidings.... or if I should start on one of the other two Tralala Collection designs.... or if I should do something completely different.  I guess we shall see tomorrow!!

Day 9 & 10 / Crazy start #9 & #10

I am typing this post while leaning on Oscar.... he seems to think that he makes for a very good wrist support for the laptop!  Not!!

So the last time I posted I showed you "Printemps" from Collection Tralala.  Today I have the second chart of the Spring/Summer designs to show you...

This is where I got with "été" on Friday night.

This is also being stitched on "Fairy Forest".  This part of the fabric has a bit more of the pink flush than the piece that I am using for "printemps".

Yesterday I worked on my Winter Witch during the afternoon as I need to finish her before the end of the month... then last night I started my 10th design for January.

This chart pack has 5 Christmas designs and I am planning at this stage to stitch at least 4 of these this year... I mentioned in a previous post that I won this chart pack in a giveaway sometime ago and that I will also be stitching this as part of the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL.  When Kay sent me this lovely chart she also included the threads and some very pretty 32ct Belfast fabric which has a gold lurex thread throughout.  Unfortunately the photo doesn't show the gold sparkle....

Winter Witch and today's new start is now awaiting me.. and Oscar has completely spread out across the laptop now and it is getting increasingly harder to type, so I will now sign off and go stitching!

Day 8 / Crazy Start #8 - "printemps"

Day 8 saw me start on one of the sweetest little designs...... Moutons de Saisons printemps by Collection Tralala.

Back in December when I posted about a new SAL that I had joined, I mentioned that this chart and it's sister charts would be part of that SAL.  I have an update due on that SAL on 15th Jan, so I won't say too much now....

Other than to say - Day 8's start is Moutons de Saisons printemps by Collection Tralala.

I am stitching both "printemps" and "été" on the prettiest fabric - it is light green with a pink flush and you can probably guess where I got it from!  This one is called "Fairy Forest" and is a 28ct Cashel from Stitches & Spice.

Tonight I will probably start "été", and then over the weekend I plan to work on some new starts as well as some WIP's.... I suspect that I might be having a Witchie Poo weekend as I would like to try and finish my Winter Witch this weekend.

Day 6 & 7 / Crazy Start #6 & #7

Well that didn't take long, did it?  I was so busy at work yesterday that I didn't get around to posting my Day 6 update, and surprise, surprise ... I very nearly didn't get to do one today either..... but we got there in the end!

Day 6 was a start on a lovely little Aussie Koala.  This little darling is part of a larger design from Carrol Nielsen, but in this case I have decided to only stitch one of the babies.... you can see him on the pic below - he is the second koala.  I adore Carrol's designs - she has the cutest little koalas in all sorts of Aussie style designs.

This koala is being stitched on Belfast 32ct "Olive Grove" from Stitches and Spice.  It is a lovely colour and hopefully the koala will look really nice nestled in amongst the Olive Grove.  The colour feels right for a creature that spends all day in a eucalypt tree!

Day 7 was yet again another start... This time I started stitching another Halloween design - "Sneak Peek - Halloween" by The Trilogy.

I probably don't need to tell you that the fabric is from Stitches and Spice!  But it is, and this one is Shanghai "Spice Blends - Eureka".

I have never stitched on Shanghai Linen before... and so far I am loving the feel of the fabric.  It is so soft....  I must admit though, I am a bit worried that it might be too bright for the "Sneak Peek" but then again it is a Halloween design... and what harm can a bright yellow/orange fabric do to a Halloween design??

The other interesting thing about this fabric is that is about 34ct.... so I am going smaller and smaller with my stitching!  Don't think I will ever go back to 14ct Aida now after stitching on these beautiful linens and evenweaves!

So that's it for today.... I have no idea what I will start stitching tonight.... but so far I have managed to keep up with a new start each day, so I can see no reason why tonight won't be any different! Posting about it tomorrow might be a different story!!

Day 5 / Crazy Start #5: "Comet"

Day 5 update.... sorry not a lot to show for this one.  Last night I managed to get about an hour of stitching done but a start is a start, and this is another pretty in pink start!

After starting to stitch "Prancer" a couple of days ago and loving the colours, I just had to pick up "Comet" and get going on this pretty one as well.  "Comet" is the second of the "Christmas Eve Couriers" on my Crazy January list, but I do have 2 more hiding in my stash....  so they may also make an appearance at some point in the near future as well!

I am stitching "Comet" on the same fabric as "Prancer" so hopefully this time the picture shows some of the pink blush that the fabric has throughout the blue, and I think you may also be able to see some of the sparkle that is in this fabric.  (Fabric is "Arabian Nights" from Stitches & Spice)
