I don't have fireflies in my garden - which is a shame... only cats, bees, a dog and the odd dragonfly!! So please settle down with a cuppa, put your feet up and enjoy!

The top lot of ORT's are the ORT's from the last month... and the bottom lot are all the lovely ORT's from the whole year.  They are slowly starting to build up...

Did you notice that I appear to be having a cats and dogs theme happening here?

Catch you next new moon! Happy stitching...

Gifted Gorgeousness SAL 2015 - Update #6

Well as you have noticed I am slightly late with my "Gifted Gorgeousness SAL 2015" (GG SAL) post for June!!

I know I seem to say this all the time.... but where is the year going?  Here we are June already and more than half way through month!

Since my last GG post I have managed to stitch on 2 of my GG pieces.

Halloween Limited Edition Charts - Lizzie Kate
Giveaway win from Carolyn (Taking One Stitch at a Time) - link to my post about the giveaway win is here

Halloween Limited Edition Charts - Lizzie Kate
Lizzie Kate - Eek
The last time I stitched on "Eek" was back in February.... so I thought I should get it back out again and do some more stitching on it!

In the February update "Eek" looked like this:

Now the lovely "Eek" looks like this:

Not bad huh!  I need to get some more of the orange thread to finish it off but I am nearly there now!

Lizzie Kate - Joyeux Noel
Giveaway win from Kay's Random World - link to Kay's original giveaway post here and link to my post about the giveaway win is here

Tiny Tidings XV - Lizzie Kate
Seeing as I am a little bit late posting my GG update for June, I thought I would take the opportunity to show you where "Joyeux Noel" is up too after this week's stitching effort.

The last time that you saw 'Joyeux Noel" was in the March update.  I hadn't really done a lot at that point...

After a couple of nights of stitching this week it now looks like this:

So there you go... the latest news on my current GG SAL choices.  More to come next month!

Til next time, Happy Stitching!
Hugs xx

If you're not sure what this particular SAL is all about.... Jo from Serendipitous Stitching hosts this SAL - the link to my post late last year about the SAL is here.... but essentially this SAL is about stitching charts/kits or using fabrics & threads that we have received as gifts, won in giveaways or anything that is intended be a gift or giveaway prize... or anything else that you can loosely use the word "gift" for!!  If you wish to sign up for this SAL, click on the button below or the button on my sidebar and you will be re-directed to Jo's blog.

Overflowing Mailbox!

Hello!  I am back again :o)

Just a quick post today to show you what my mailbox has been receiving the last couple of days....

Firstly I received this lovely bookmark from Vickie (A Stitcher's Story).  Vickie stitched this lovely bookmark as a thank you for the pink fabric I sent her for her pink charm quilt.  A link to Vickie's post about receiving the fabric is here.

Isn't this just gorgeous?  One side has a picture of a King Charles Cavalier just like Mitzi and the other side Vickie has stitched two sweet grey kitties just like Oscar and Felix!  So sweet - thank you Vickie - I love it! ♥

My second gift in the mailbox came from Jo (Serendipitous Stitching).  Jo recently had a blogaversary giveaway and I was lucky enough to win one of the charts that Jo was giving away.

This chart could very well be added to my Gifted Gorgeousness List one day!  Thanks Jo - love the chart ♥

I also recently attacked the credit card and received my new stash additions in the mail this week as well.

A couple of rather cute needle minders and a new scissor fob from Gina's Unique Needleminders also arrived in the mailbox.

Don't you just love Tigger and Eeyore, and I just couldn't go past the Tardis x 2!!

I also purchased a couple of new Mira's over the last few weeks.... and they finally arrived....

Both of these are just beautiful especially Florentina with her kitty companion.

And finally, one more thing to show you!  I received this most wonderful surprise in the mail on Friday.  Valérie (Fée le point) sent me this absolutely gorgeous stitched box full of beautiful things...

Isn't this just gorgeous?  I love the sweet little birdies and the box is just so delightfully cute!  And then when I opened the box it was filled with this gorgeous crafty stuff

Valérie, thank you so much for this amazing surprise!  It really made my day and week getting this beautiful gift in the mail :o) It is going to take pride of place in the craft room where I can see it every time I go in there and then I will think of you! ♥

That's it for this post of surprises..... the mailman was a deliverer of wonderful mail this week!

Til next time, happy stitching

Blingy Cats and Reindeers....

Hello again!  Sorry I haven't been around blog-land a lot lately.... work has been absolutely flat out and the last thing I have wanted to do when I get home to sit in front of the laptop!  I will try and start catching up on my blog reading soon.... but in the meantime I have been doing some stitching!

Remember in my last post I showed you the new kitties that I bought?  Well, I couldn't resist that beautiful blingly kitties and I started one straight away...

After a week of evening stitching this is where I left "Fashionista Cat".

I am so looking forward to stitching some more on this one so instead of putting it away I am keeping kitty in my stitching drawer so that it close at hand and won't be forgotten about!  I am using the Aida and threads that came with the kit.

Last week I went back to one of my January starts.... Nora Corbett's "Christmas Eve Couriers - Comet".  When you last saw this gorgeous reindeer back in March he looked like this:

I spent all of last week stitching on "Comet" and now he looks like this:

I am quite pleased with my progress on "Comet" especially seeing as how I ended up frogging the dark green stitches on Monday after noticing that I had miscounted by one stitch and the whole lot was out!!!

"Comet" is now back in the stitching basket and "Prancer" is going to come out to play this week.  The pinks in these two designs are just beautiful!

I am trying to get some sort of order into all of my WIP's so I have come up with a monthly stitching plan.... for 3 weeks of the month I will do a weekly rotation for 3 of the larger designs, and then once a month I will try and do 7 x daily rotations for the smaller designs.  With a little bit of luck I may end up with at least one finish every month or so!

That's it for my stitching update of the last 2 weeks.  See you next time!

Til next time, Happy Stitching! ♥
