I don't have fireflies in my garden - which is a shame... only cats, bees, a dog and the odd dragonfly!! So please settle down with a cuppa, put your feet up and enjoy!

As per last month, Magical Stitches SALs/weekly challenges has played a large part of my stitching this month.  I will try and do an end of month progress post soon so that you can see all the projects that have come out of hiding for this challenge! 😼

See you next time!

Gifted Gorgeousness September 2017

Doesn't the 15th of each month roll around very quickly?  I very nearly didn't have anything to post for the month... but a quick finish has saved me!!  Although it has now taken me nearly 2 weeks to post my GG finish!!

HMS Ted (Free Gift - Cross Stitcher Magazine)
Designer: Debbie Cripps
Started: 26 August 2017
Finished: 15 September 2017
Not only did I finish the stitching... but seeing as he came with his own printed card I decided to put the card together as well.  He is now all already to send when I need a quick birthday card for a nephew (maybe!)

So that's it for today - I still have to come back and do my WIPocalypse post (overdue) and my Smalls post (due on Friday).  I will also try and do an update on my September stitching as I had another new start this month which I haven't showcased yet!

Til then, have a great stitchy week... and
Happy stitching
Jo from Serendipitous Stitching hosts the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL.  The GG SAL is about stitching charts/kits or using fabrics & threads that we have received as gifts, won in giveaways or anything that is intended be a gift or giveaway prize... or anything else that you can loosely use the word "gift" for!!  If you wish to sign up for this SAL, click on link here, or the button on my sidebar and you will be re-directed to Jo's blog.

August Smalls Update

The Smalls SAL is hosted by Stitching Lotus

It's time for a catch up on my Smalls stitching for the month of August.  I only managed one complete finish for the month.... very disappointing effort! 😢😞

Free Gift - Cross Stitcher Magazine (Issue June 2000)
Designer: Angela Poole

"Beside the Sea"
Started: 5 January 2016
Finished: 8 August 2017

I love the little buttons that were included in the kit... I very nearly didn't sew them onto this little small as I thought I could use them for something else... but they do just finish off the design. Now I just have to decide how to frame it.... I am thinking something like a beach theme frame with a distressed paint look... but that's for another day!

To see everyone else's Smalls posts for August pop over to Heather's blog and check out the link up post

Next Month – The next Smalls SAL check-in will take place on Friday, 29th September 2017.

Til next time, happy stitching!

T - Tigger

23rd April "T" Post
"Tigger"

And then it's Thursday before you know it!!!   23rd April, Day 20 of the "Blogging from A to Z April 2015 Challenge" has arrived.  We are almost there now... one more week left of this crazy blogging challenge!

Today is "T" - "Tigger"

Tigger: Tigger is a fictional tiger character originally introduced in A. A. Milne's book "The House at Pooh Corner".

Tigger never refers to himself as a tiger, but as a "Tigger". When Tigger introduces himself, he often says the proper way to spell his name is: "T-I-'Double-G'-Er (T-i-gg-er), which spells 'Tigger'".
"Web image"
"Oh, hey, hey. Look, look, look. Oh, what a strange-looking creature. Mmm, look at those beady little eyes, and that "purrposterous" chin, and those "rickydickorous" striped py-jamas!"
[looking at his reflection]

Tigger is my absolute favourite "Winnie the Pooh" character - that's not to say that I don't adore the others but there is just something very special about Tigger.... and of course "Tigger's are wonderful things. Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs."

My "T" post was originally going to be a "Tombstone" as I need to stitch one before the end of April for my Hallowe'en SAL posting..... but I just so wanted to stitch a Tigger for "T" that the tombstone got dropped like a hot rock over the weekend and Tigger took it's place last night!

A nice bit of cheeky yellow face appearing after a couple of hours stitching last night.  This particular design was included as a freebie with the UK Cross Stitcher mag way back in June.

That's it from Tigger and I, it's time for us to bounce on out of here.... see you tomorrow!

T-T-F-N, Ta Ta For Now!
