I don't have fireflies in my garden - which is a shame... only cats, bees, a dog and the odd dragonfly!! So please settle down with a cuppa, put your feet up and enjoy!

Katie Kitty (Finish #12)

Another Finished Stitching Piece Happy Dance is happening..... plus it's Friday... another great reason for a Happy Dance!!  Tonight I am going to try and remember to take a picture of my Friday Night Frolicking before I start stitching....

But for now... I am back to show you my latest finish for 2016!

Remember way back in 2015 I started stitching on the Brooke's Books Advent Animals for the DUCJC2015 and then I picked it up again during the A-Z Challenge... well... I unfortunately I haven't touched them since then.... so the other day I decided to try and get at least one finished in March..

The last time that you saw Katie Kitty on 13th April 2015 she looked like this.... not a lot happening at all!!

However.... she is now finished and smiling....  Isn't she so cute?

Finish #12

I am stitching a number of these Advent Animals on the same piece of fabric - 32ct Belfast "Moonbeam" from Stitches & Spice.   Unfortunately neither photo shows how pretty light blue fabric is.... it looks grey and dark in the photos... Funny how different colours can look in photos!

As I mentioned earlier... tonight is Friday Night Frockling.. and tomorrow is Alphabet Club! So if I can get myself organised you should get another post or two show up in your blog feed over the weekend!

I am slowly catching up on emails and blog reading... Til then have a wonderful Friday night and a fantastic weekend!

Take care and happy stitching

Frosted Pumpkin... Christmas Eve Delivery

Back again.... I promised you another new finish and here it is....

Finish #10

This is my first ever Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery finish.  I have seen these designs around for ages on blogs and FB but never actually stitched one until now!  And I loved stitching on it..  it is so cute!  I will definitely be stitching another one of these designs at some point down the track....  This design was published in the Just Cross Stitch Christmas 2015 magazine.

This cutie was stitched with DMC threads on a plain piece of 28ct linen from my stash.

"Christmas Eve Delivery" is my March ornie for the Christmas Ornie SAL blog and this finish means that I have ticked off another SAL from my March to-do list!! Happy Dances all round this month!

So that's it for now.... I am going to spend the last afternoon of the Easter break stitching on another 2015 WIP that I should get finished today.  I then need to start planning my April stitching... it's all go around here these days!!

Til next time.... I hope that you had a wonderful Easter... see you again soon

Happy stitching, hugs xx

Gifted Gorgeousness SAL 2016 - Update #3

Oops, I am so late with my GG post this month.  I completely forgot to post before we went away last weekend....

On with the update!

Moutons de Saisons "Printemps et ete" - Collection Tralala
Gift from Kaye from Kitten Stitching.  The original post of when Kaye gave me these charts is here.

Tralala Collection - Mouton de Saisons
The last time you saw, and I stitched on "printemps", was back in November 2015 .... I left the sheep and friends looking like this:

"Printemps" - 15 Nov 2015
At the beginning of March I decided that I wanted to get a 2015 WIP finished and, so that I could also make some ticks on my SAL to-do lists, I decided I would stitch on "printemps".  This WIP choice covers two Stitch Maynia SAL's - (Mostly) Monogamous March SAL and It's Not Easy Being Green SAL choice.

I took this WIP with me when we went on a 4 day sea cruise down the West Australian coast... but I didn't get a lot of stitching done.... but that's ok because I have been stitching on it over the Easter break and now it is finished!!!

Finish #11
"Moutons de saisons - printemps"
Collection Tra La La
I stitched this cute design using all DMC threads and the fabric is from Stitches and Spice - 28ct Cashel Linen Fairy Forest.

You many notice that this is Finish #11... which means that there must be another finish that you haven't seen yet... I will show you that in another post shortly!!

That's it for my very late GG post for March.

Til next time, happy stitching

Jo from Serendipitous Stitching hosts the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL.  The GG SAL is about stitching charts/kits or using fabrics & threads that we have received as gifts, won in giveaways or anything that is intended be a gift or giveaway prize... or anything else that you can loosely use the word "gift" for!!  If you wish to sign up for this SAL, click on the button below or the button on my sidebar and you will be re-directed to Jo's blog.

Finish number 9!

Yes, that's right!  I am back with another finish to show you :o)

Finish # 9
"Merry Christmas"
Designer: Samplers Not Forgotten
Just Cross Stitch Magazine - Christmas 2015

Finished 12 March 2016
This very sweet Christmas design was the March ornie choice for the JCS SAL FB group.  I stitched this on a small piece of 28ct fabric called Sugar Cane Crunch from Stitches and Spice that I had left over in my fabric stash.  All the threads are DMC... of course... but the green is not the suggested green as surprise, surprise that one was missing from my collection!

I will eventually turn this into a pillow ornie but for the time being he will go into the finish folder waiting for that rainy day when the sewing machine comes out to play!

I am now stitching on my Christmas Ornie SAL Blog choice and hopefully I will be able to show you that one by the end of the week!

Don't forget this weekend is IHSW time.... Joyce has put up the sign up page on her blog so pop over and sign up!!

Til next time.. have a great week!
Happy stitching!
Hugs xx
